ORDINATION OF DEACONS AT THE FRANCISCAN THEOLOGY
In the oratory of St. Paul at the Franciscan Theology in Sarajevo on June 1st, the ordination of two deacons of the Franciscan province of the Holy Cross – Bosna Srebrena was organised.
During the solemn Eucharistic celebration, the auxiliary Bishop of Banja Luka, Msgr. Marko Semren gave the sacred order of deacon to OFM Vinćenc Kajtazi and OFM Nikola Neimarević. As the FIA reports, OFM Jozo Marinčić, Provincial of Bosna Srebrena, OFM Aurel Gjerkaj, custodian of the Franciscan Custody of Mary’s Annunciation in Albania and Montenegro and 20 other priests, concelebrated with Msgr. Semren..
After the gospel chapter, OFM Danijel Nikolić, Master of theologians, presented the candidates for holy work of the deacon.
Then there was a sermon from Msgr. Semren in which he spoke of the importance of prayer life and the testimony of the Gospel in the life of every believer, devoted persons in particular. The Bishop called the prayer a source of peace, joy and power for life.
The theologians of the Franciscan theology in Neđarići assisted during the Holy Mass. The liturgy singing was led by the choir OFM Nenad Dujić under instructions of OFM Emanuel Josić and OFM Nikola Matošević, accompanied by OFM Fabijo Badrov.
After the Holy Mass, the fraternal celebration continued in the monastery dining room.
