Religious community in Bosanska Dubica, on September 14th, solemnly celebrated its patron saint, the Exaltation of the Holy Cross and marked the anniversary of the rebuilt parish church.
The Eucharist was led by the Bishop of Banja Luka, Msgr. Franjo Komarica, concelebrating with the host parish priest, rev. Marko Vidović and the parish priests in Sasina rev. Adolf Višaticki, Budžak Rev. Marijan Stojanović as well as Bosanska Gradiška rev. Predrag Ivandić.
In the appropriate sermon, the bishop interpreted the contents of the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross and consecration of the church. He encouraged those present to remain faithful descendants of their ancestors in the future, who remained faithful to Christ and his Church in the area during the long centuries of existence and dramatic history of the parish. He encouraged the preservation of communion in diversity and the care for a living and “made church”.
The mayor of Kozarska Dubica, Radenko Reljić, and several Orthodox believers, as well as benefactors from the Netherlands and Germany, were also present at the Holy Mass.
After the Eucharist, a gathering was held in the hall, which is the result of the efforts of the tragically deceased benefactor from the Netherlands, Ana Marie Aerts-Volkers.
