In the Banja Luka diocesan sanctuary of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus in Presnače on October 2nd, the patron saint of the parish was solemnly celebrated.
The central Holy Mass was led by the rector of the cathedral, rev. Pero Ivan Grgić. The faithful were greeted at the beginning by the parish priest and guardian of the shrine, Msgr. Ivica Božinović who reminded that this day is a double celebration for the parish: the celebration of the anniversary of the consecration of the parish church and the heavenly patroness of the parish.
In his sermon, rev. Grgić, introduced the faithful to the life of St. Little Theresa, whose greatness is especially outlined in the “little way”, and which is realized in the performance of daily duties in love and simplicity of heart.
At the end of the Eucharist, the faithful prayed in the memorial room, the place of martyrdom of the parish priest rev. Filip Lukenda and sister Cecilia Grgić.
Let us mention that a triduum was held before the patron saint day, which was an immediate preparation for this holiday.
