24TH SESSION OF THE PERMANENT COUNCIL OF THE BK BIH
Under the chairmanship of the Archbishop of Vrhbosna cardinal Vinko Puljić, the president of BK BiH, on February 8th, at the premises of the Archdiocese’ Residence in Sarajevo, the 24th Session of the Permanent Council of the Bishops’ Conference of BiH was held.
Vice President Msgr. Tomo Vukšić, Archbishop Coadjutor of Vrhbosna, and Msgr. Ivo Tomašević, Secretary General of the BK BiH, also participated in the Session.
The bishops were briefed on the implementation of the conclusions of the 77th Regular Session of the BK BiH held on November 4th and 5th of 2019. in Sarajevo, and provided the necessary guidance for the conclusions underway.
A draft of the daily plan for the 78th regular session was drawn up, to be held on March 20th and 21st in Mostar. Also, daily plan for the VII. inter-dean meeting of Bosnia and Herzegovina to be held on March 5th at the Archdiocesan Seminary Petar Barbarić in Travnik, was agreed on.
The bishops also considered the more important memos that came after the last regular session, and provided the necessary guidance on this matter to the BK BiH Secretariat.
Since Pope Francis accepted on October 18th of 2019., the abdication of the Auxiliary Bishop of Vrhbosna, Msgr. Pero Sudar, who was a member of the Permanent Council, the bishops will elect a new member of this council at the forthcoming session.
