A DAY OF CONSECRATED LIFE IN THE CATHEDRAL
On the feast of the Candlemas, February 2nd, the monks and nuns of the Banja Luka diocese celebrated the Day of Consecrated Life.
The meeting began with a gathering in the premises of the Ordinariate. The first point of the program was a lecture by the Auxiliary Bishop of Banja Luka, Msgr. Marko Semren, OFM, who commented on the role of monks in the synodal path of this diocese.
The occasion for the sacrament of confession followed, and just before the Holy Mass in the hall of the Ordinariate, a candle blessing ceremony was held, after which the participants in the traditional procession of light headed to the cathedral.
The Eucharist, with the participation of about 60 believers, was led by Bishop Marko in concelebration with the Chancellor, rev. Pero Ivan Grgić and the monastery and parish vicar of Petrićevac, OFM Tomislav Svetinović.
In his sermon, the bishop referred to the Gospel which speaks of the event of the apparition of the Lord in the Temple.
In the end, Msgr. Semren congratulated the monks and nuns on their day.
