On the Third Sunday of Advent, December 17th, the Bishop of Banja Luka, in peace, Msgr. Franjo Komarica blessed, during the Eucharist, the meeting hall Nova Nada (New Hope) in the Pastoral Centre Sv. Josip under construction in Drvar.
Several priests concelebrated, including the secretary of the apostolic nunciature in Mexico, Msgr. Ante Vidović and the parish priest in Drvar, rev. Davor Klečina.
In the appropriate sermon, Msgr. Komarica spoke about waiting for Christ as a new hope in the history of mankind. He connected this thought with the name of the hall in the Pastoral Centre Sv. Josip, which represents the spiritual impulse of the local religious community.
An interesting, liturgical celebration was animated by an Orthodox, Ljubiša Mijadžević from Drvar.
At the end of the Holy Mass, on behalf of the Banja Luka Diocese and the parish of St. Joseph, rev. Davor presented certificates of thanks to benefactors and other deserving persons.
In the afternoon, an Advent spiritual renewal was held in the new hall for parishioners and guests from other religious communities. First, a film about Jozo Furundžija from the series Anonymous giants of the spirit of the Croatian nation was played, and then Matija Ricov from the Prayer Community New born from Zagreb gave an appropriate speech.
The spiritual renewal ended with Eucharistic adoration before the Most Holy.
