In their monastery chapel in Banja Luka, the sisters of Missionaries of Love Society, on September 5th, celebrated the feast of their founder St. Mother Teresa with a Holy Mass.
The Eucharist was led by the bishop of Banja Luka, Msgr. Franjo Komarica in concelebration with three priests.
In the appropriate sermon, Msgr. Komarica recalled his meeting with Mother Teresa during her visit to Sarajevo in 1978, and her handwritten congratulations for his episcopal ordination in Rome in 1986. He then briefly outlined her “dramatic but extraordinarily blessed life path” – from her native Skopje, through Ireland to India and all over the globe, and then God’s special gracious call in a new way of living the religious charisma in the new Congregation until the saint’s death in 1997. Finally, he invited those present to thank God for a truly wonderful example of a successful Christian life of this, dear and close to everyone saint, and that they themselves should follow that example. He especially thanked her spiritual daughters, the Missionaries of Love, who come from four countries and three continents, and serve the poorest in Banja Luka and its surroundings.
After the Holy Mass celebration, those present stayed for socializing.
