FEAST DAY OF THE FOUNDING SISTER OF THE SISTERS THE ADORERS OF THE BLOOD OF CHRIST
On February 4th, at the monastery of Sisters Adorers of the Blood of Christ in Budžak near Banja Luka, the Feast of the founder of Sisters Adorers of the Blood of Christ, St. Mary de Mattias, was celebrated.
The not so small monastery chapel was filled by lay faithful as well as guests and friends of the sisters. The Holy Mass celebration was led by the venerable Pero Ivan Grgić, Chancellor of the Diocese of Banja Luka, in concelebration of seven priests.
In a commemorative homily, rev. Grgić emphasized that every man’s life is a ministry and that he should put his trust in God, as Maria de Mattias did. “We should all look into the lives of the saints who have achieved this virtue”, he said, speaking shortly about the life of this saint.
At the end of the Holy Mass, sister Zdenka Pezer, Head of the monastery, thanked those present who made this day more festive.
After the final blessing, everyone had the opportunity to pray before the relics of this saint located in the monastery.
