The two French Trappist monks, Dominique-Maria Schoch, abbot of Abbey Oelenberg in France, and Hubert Bony, superior of Engelszell Abbey of Austria, stayed in the Diocese of Banja Luka from November 22nd to 24th.
They visited the Ordinary and the cathedral and in a long, friendly conversation they met with bishop Msgr. Franjo Komarica and auxiliary bishop Msgr. Marko Semren. Particular attention was paid to the Trappist monastery of Marija Zvijezda, where they were hosted by father Zvonko Topić, and for a time by father Tomislav Topić, administrator of the parishes Bos. Gradiška and Dolina.
They also visited the parish and the diocesan shrine of St. Little Theresa in Presnače, and the Franciscan monastery and parish of Petrićevac, as well as some of the institutions of the diocesan Caritas in Banja Luka and its surroundings.
To both religious leaders, this was the first visit to the Diocese of Banja Luka and BiH.
