REGULAR ANNUAL MEETING OF RELIGIOUS TEACHERS
On August 26th, the regular annual meeting of religious teachers of the Banja Luka diocese was held in the premises of the Ordinariate in Banja Luka.
Out of a total of 36 religious teachers with a canonical mission, 26 of them participated in the meeting, with the presence of the bishop of Banja Luka, Msgr. Franjo Komarica.
First, there was a lecture by a professor at the KBF in Đakovo, Dr. rev. Boris Vulić On the beauty, seriousness and simplicity of the Catholic faith.
Dr. Vulić spoke about the context of living and problems for personal faith. He singled out indifference as the biggest problem in modern society and diluted faith in Jesus Christ. He also highlighted the concept of individual theology and, among other things, explained about the “broken catechesis”, the broken connection between Holy scripture and the Church, as well as forgetting the term “original sin”.
This was followed by a discussion on the subject of the presentation and current issues in the Banja Luka diocese.
The central part of the meeting was the Eucharist, which was led by Bishop Komarica, who delivered an appropriate pastoral sermon. In the concelebration, among others, was the head of the Catechetic Office of the Banja Luka Diocese and the parish priest in Prijedor, Rev. Marko Vidović.
At the end, the bishop distributed the canonical missions to several religious teachers, followed by socialising with refreshments.
