SYNODAL JOURNEY AT THE COUNCIL OF PRIESTS OF THE BANJA LUKA DIOCESE
The 21st regular annual Council of Priests was held in Banja Luka on October 20th, with the participation of about 40 diocesan and monk priests from the Banja Luka diocese.
The gathering began with the Eucharist in the cathedral led by the Bishop of Banja Luka, Msgr. Franjo Komarica.
In his homily, the bishop encouraged those present to live authentically, and portrayed Mary as a model of true human life in terms of vocation and mission. The liturgical celebration was animated by the sisters from the monastery Novi Nazaret.
The assembly continued in the Ordinariate with the presentation of Msgr. Komarica. In the first part, he spoke about the retrospective of 32 years as he leads the diocese, and paid attention to the synodal path of the Banja Luka diocese in the context of the preparation of the Synod of Bishops in 2023. He extensively presented emphasis from the working materials from Rome with reference to the important things that apply to the local Church.
At the end of the meeting, short presentations were given by: the director of Caritas, Msgr. Miljenko Aničić, head of the Catechetic Office Msgr. Marko Vidović and mission promoter Msgr. Vlado Lukenda.
