The bishops, members of the BK BiH, decided that on Sunday, January 3rd, only one collection will be collected in all churches in BiH, which will be forwarded in its entirety to the Croatian Bishops’ Conference to help repair the aftermath of the earthquake.
After the devastating earthquake on December 29th caused great damage in the area of Petrinja, Sisak, Glina and Zagreb and the surrounding towns, the BiH bishops decided, in addition to expressing solidarity, to take concrete action to help the affected areas.
The Vrhbosna Archdiocese invited the parish priests to animate the faithful to participate in this action. “These days, do everything necessary to inform your parish communities so that all those who want to, but due to the still unfavourable epidemiological situation cannot participate in the Holy Mass, send their contributions”, the letter to the parish priests reads.
